One may wonder how Carlos Torano thought of the name “hogshead” to name the latest addition to the Torano family. Well, the term is actually defined as a large wooden barrel which held either tobacco or alcohol while these products where transported and/or stored way back when our great-great grandparents walked this Earth. The hogshead had a dual purpose, easy transportation, and it offered a great atmosphere for products to age. Torano Hogshead offers deep, rich flavors due to the special blend that consists of a three country blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Pennsylvanian filler leaves. This hearty blend is then covered with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper leaf. The end result is slightly spicy and rich flavor. Featuring notes of coffee, earth, and pepper. Medium to full-bodied.
